Nevada Pharmacist Association

Re: Payment of Break and Lunch Time

Dear Pharmacists:

The Nevada Pharmacist Association would like to determine the amount of money owed to pharmacists in Nevada who were and are currently required to work without scheduled breaks or lunches. It has been the Nevada Pharmacist Association’s position that pharmacists in Nevada were, and are, entitled to scheduled breaks and lunches under the Nevada Labor Code. This year, the Association successfully lobbied the Pharmacy Board to adopt a break and lunch regulation in the Nevada Administrative Code to prevent termination of employment or, threats of termination of employment, of pharmacists who demanded scheduled breaks and lunches during work.

To determine which sum, if any, is owed to you for the time you have worked and did not receive a scheduled break or lunch, please complete the enclosed questionnaire and return it to the Nevada Pharmacist Association.

Sincerely yours,

Khanh Pham

President
